How can I deserve you?

Or better yet,

Can I ever deserve you?

I know the answer to be no

I do my best to live in your presence

But I know I still fall short

How could you still love me

After everything I’ve done?

How can I deserve you?

I’ve heard about Your grace

I’ve heard about Your love

I’ve heard about Your mercy

But are they really that grand?

The answer is yes

Your grace covers my sins

Your love embraces my faults

Your mercy accepts my imperfection

I don’t need to deserve you

Because You love me freely

This love encourages me

Guides me

Gives me peace and strength

It is a love like no other

A love that heals

Redeems

A love that saved me

Jesus

I want to live by Your side

Always

Here on earth

Until you call me home

And then

Forevermore
