A Special Message from Leon

by Leon

I was debating whether to write about this, but after some reflection, I decided to go ahead. For some time, starting around mid-2019, I’ve been experiencing reoccurring dreams. Now – I need to make this abundantly clear – I am in no way declaring that these dreams are a divine inspiration. The Bible is the only irrefutable source for divine inspiration and the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ.

“I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.” – Revelation 22:18-19

With that said, I do believe that God speaks to our hearts in multiple ways. We can learn from His voice if we recognize it and allow it to teach us. He is the still small voice that revealed Himself to Samuel while he slept. Our God remains an active God through time immemorial.

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” – Hebrews 13:8

Now to get to the meat of this post.

Typically, it’s Amaryllis who shares personal experiences, complimenting those experiences with the perfect touch of Biblical principles. Today, I felt it on my heart to share with you something personal that has been occurring in my life. Sometime in mid-2019, I began experiencing dreams. These dreams though different, all shared very common themes, and because of that, they are often on my mind throughout the day.

They would start very ordinary: I would be out living life on a normal day. One of the first common themes in my dreams is that there is always a destination I need to get to. I must move, and it’s a race. The destination is always my house. Sometimes I’m in a car, other times I’m put before a one-way street. But the goal is always the same, I need to get home!

The second common theme is an approaching storm or climate shift. The most common one is that I find myself trying to escape tornadoes, terrible winds, and a ferocious thunderstorm. The following is that I find myself trying to escape a tidal wave. In both cases, my home is where safety is, and I need to race to make it there on time. When these calamities start to take place, I always see people around me screaming in mass hysteria. They are frightened for their lives and they have no clue how they should react other than to run in circles.

But for me – I know my destination – the path to safety is set before me – my gazes are focused on the refuge of my home. Yes, I am terrified. I worry I won’t make it in time. I worry about a tidal wave or a tornado overtaking me. Yet, I push forward, I push forward because I know where I must be. Home.

I know a lot of people reading this are going to make a comparison of our current world’s panic related to Covid-19. A lot of preachers often call their dreams ‘future prophetic warnings’. I’m not writing this today to do that. In fact, that is a big reason why I put off writing about it. I’m simply here to tell you of the things I was reminded of from having these dreams.

The Bible tells us that our Christian walk is like a race. We must always press forward, and we must never look back. We must keep moving with our eyes on the prize, (our eternal home.)

“I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 3:14

Having these dreams reminded me of that verse. These dreams reminded me of the importance of moving forward to our ultimate goal, which we can only find in the refuge of our home in Christ.

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” – John 15:5

“And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.”John 14:3

These dreams also reminded me that we are never promised constant stability. At any given time, a circumstance can be so disrupting in our race that we become terrified. Likewise, those we know, even society itself, can be overcome by an unforeseen sudden circumstance.

“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” – John 16:33

The urgency I feel in these dreams reminded me that we don’t have forever to tarry. Worldly distractions can disrupt our race. In one of these dreams, I found myself halfway to my house, but as soon as I was near, I was exposed to inexhaustible distractions set to keep me from progressing.

“We must work the works of him who sent me while it is day; night is coming, when no one can work.” – John 9:4

To end this post, I will tell you the climax of my dreams. After this one, they became far less frequent.

I was in a major city with high towers, buildings, and masses of people walking in the streets. Everything was calm, people were socializing. Life seemed fine. In an instant, everything changed. A great wind like a hurricane overcame the city. It was so powerful and unrelenting that the populace was screaming and running in every direction. There was a girl next to me, who unlike the others was not panicked at all. I told her we needed to get to safety – I was ignored. In my mind, I felt a voice tell me that I couldn’t concern myself with her. I warned her, but she chose to ignore it. So, I left.

I found myself moving towards the wind rather than away from it like society was. After some time, I found a whirlwind, and from it, a voice said, “Tell them I am coming.” I replied that I would. The voice said it again with more urgency. “Please tell them I’m coming.”

From the whirlwind, I was given a staff. Because I held this staff, unlike those around me, I had no fear.

Now I’m not going to claim this dream was prophetic. But it did work to remind me to always be ready. He is coming, and we are told times will become difficult. Yet, God is our staff of peace.

“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” – Psalm 23:4

To end this post, I want to extend the offer to anyone out there who might need prayer or to anyone who needs someone to talk to. Our Facebook Hopeful Flower page is open to private messages. We will always keep messages confidential, and we are always willing to pray for those in need.

Wow, reading all that you’ve seen in your dreams and experienced, I truly feel in my heart God spoke to you in a special way. It’s a long story, but long story short, I felt the Holy Spirit not too long ago urging me to get ready. To get ready for his coming, for the last days, for his kingdom come. I know it was no coincidence that the Lord presses that on my heart when he also, through your dreams, urges you to do the same, and to keep your eyes on him. Although the world will get worse, we have our hope in Christ, and we know we don’t need to be afraid, for we can have comfort that he is with us till the end of the age, and he is coming for us. This post was awesome, and it was a great reminder that we need to be prepared, because we cannot forget we are the bride, and our groom, our beautiful Lord and Savior, is coming soon.
