A Prayer of Thanks

In honor of it being Thanksgiving yesterday, I want to take this time to pray with all of you. I want to take this time to give thanks and to remember the reason we celebrate Thanksgiving. It is more than just a day where we gather with family to eat a bunch of food. It is a day to remember all the blessings we have had in our lives.

Dear Father,

I come to you today with a grateful heart. Thank you for everything you have done for me. I know that I may fall short time and time again, but your love and your grace are bigger than my failings. I thank you for loving me unconditionally and for showing me that you will always be with me.

Lord, I want to thank you for all the amazing people in my life. I feel so blessed to have an amazing husband, a loving family, and great friends. Everyone you have put in my life has taught me more and more of your love. You have shown me how to be more patient, more caring, more loving, and more understanding through them. I ask that you continue to bless those around me and to continue to encourage them every day.

Jesus, I thank you for everyone I have loved and lost. I honestly can’t say that I don’t miss them, but I take comfort in knowing that they are with you, Lord. I thank you for all the beautiful memories I have of all my loved ones. I know that one day I will get to see them all once again in your kingdom.

I want to thank you, God, for all the trials and hard times that I’ve gone though. I know that it was no fun going through them, but you have taught me so much because of them. Even in hard times, I will rejoice in thanksgiving because I know that you are with me. Your promises are true and I know that I can put my faith in you, Father. Please help me to never forget your faithfulness whenever I am faced with difficult times.

Lastly, I want to thank you for allowing me to have this blog. It may be small, but it has had a big impact in my life. Thank you for giving me a platform in which I can share your word and share your love with others. May you continue to bless this blog and may it be a blessing to those who read it or those who listen to it on YouTube. I can’t thank you enough for the opportunity you have given me to take part in your will. Thank you Father.

In Jesus name I pray, Amen.

“God was manifested in the flesh,
Justified in the Spirit,
Seen by angels,
Preached among the Gentiles,
Believed on in the world,
Received up in glory.” – 1 Timothy 3:16
