A Gift
by Leon
Unending majesty stretching heaven’s gate,
Untold love forming futures fate.
Luminous candle igniting dark skies.
Beauty unimaginable to mesmerize–
A sun begins its steady rise.
Shapeless clay struck, with blazing furious heat.
A hand outstretched from heavens great seat.
Refined into shape that which is orderly and neat,
A world devoid made complete.
Quiet. Soundless. Whispers.
It was time to fill the rivers,
Silence broken by forest whimpers.
Cries and snickers from tiny whiskers.
A silent world hummed with limitless critters.
A potter’s work yet unfinished.
A song of love akin to an expert violinist,
A work to be truly distinguished.
A marvelous thing to be witnessed.
To mold a clay that took His own image.
To breathe in him His unique spirit.
Earth overflowing with glorious life,
He then gave man a beautiful wife.
To them, He became their light,
To protect and keep them in His sight,
To shelter them under His infinite might.
All life made and blessed,
Upon the seventh line, He took His rest.
